The announcement <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/coinbase-bets-on-stablecoins-base-and-everything-exchange-for-2026\">followed the exchange\u2019s plans<\/a> for onchain prediction markets in partnership with Kalshi in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Event contracts on prediction markets platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket allow users to bet on the outcomes of a variety of topics, from sporting events to US politics, with the probability of each event assigned by user participation.
