And that\u2019s despite the fact that the network\u2019s hash rate, or the measurement of all the network\u2019s computer power, has dropped in five consecutive epochs and is at its lowest mark since September 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">In addition to Bitcoin miners being \u201cextremely underpaid\u201d based on the aforementioned index, some were <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/355836\/us-bitcoin-miners-slow-as-winter-storm-hits-power-grids\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">severely impacted by a recent major winter storm<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> that blanketed the eastern United States, barraging multiple states in ice and snow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The winter storm, which led to a further decrease in hash rate, also dropped daily mining revenues to a yearly low of $28 million, according
