Source: Cointelegraph\/TradingView<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The renewed upside came after the January print of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell short of expectations.<\/p>\n<p>As confirmed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/news.release\/cpi.nr0.htm\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BLS<\/a>), core CPI matched estimates of 2.5%, while the broader reading was 2.4% \u2014\u00a00.1% lower than anticipated.<\/p>\n<figure>    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2026-02\/019c5791-876f-7271-a517-d61fdcaf2012.png\" title=\"\"\/><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>US CPI 12-month % change.
