But the bigger story is what is happening to large companies that made big bets on <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/bitcoin-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Bitcoin<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Nakamoto\u2019s Bitcoin strategy failed<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One major example is Nakamoto Inc. This company built its entire strategy around holding only Bitcoin. At one point, this approach was praised as smart and bold, but now, it looks very risky.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the last 280 days, Nakamoto Inc. has <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BullTheoryio\/status\/2025185210711900461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">lost<\/a> more than 99% of its market value. Around $23.6 billion has disappeared. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company bought 5,398 Bitcoin at an average price of $118,000, near the top of the market. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, that decision has left it with about $270 million in unrealized losses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In simple words, they bought when prices were very high, and now they are stuck with heavy losses.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Coin Bureau\u2019s executive weighs in<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nic Puckrin, co-founder of Coin Bureau and lead market analyst, has warned that this could create contagion risk. This means trouble at one company could spread to others that also rely heavily on Bitcoin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In an email sent to AMBCrypto, Puckrin further noted,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDigital asset treasuries (DATs) are beginning to show signs of stress from the sharp sell-off in Bitcoin, which is affecting their share prices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOverall, Bitcoin treasury companies have just logged three straight weeks of selling \u2013 the first such streak in their admittedly short history.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Stock price action and more<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, Nakamoto Inc. stock has also <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/finance\/beta\/quote\/NAKA:NASDAQ?sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwju9dGC0e-SAxW5V2wGHY6xK9cQ3ecFKAN6BAgoEAQ&#038;window=6M\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">fallen<\/a> close to $0.24 and has lost around 97% of its value in just six months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond company balance sheets, everyday activity on the Bitcoin network is also slowing down.
