Institutions don\u2019t just talk about Bitcoin, they structure around it,\u201d McCauley wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the company that operationalizes Bitcoin infrastructure puts capital alongside the company that operationalized the Bitcoin treasury strategy\u2026that\u2019s a signal,\u201d he added. Anchorage did not reveal the size or timing of the position.<\/p>\n<p>According to Strategy\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.strategy.com\/stretch\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, STRC is a Nasdaq-listed perpetual preferred security marketed as a short-duration, high-yield instrument. The shares pay an 11.25% annual dividend distributed monthly in cash. A year ago, it did not rank among the top 50. It issues securities and deploys the proceeds into BTC. Gains can amplify during rallies, while downturns magnify pressure on the share price.<\/p>\n<p>The company currently <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\/public-companies\/microstrategy\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">holds<\/a> 717,722 Bitcoin worth about $46.68 billion at current market prices. On Monday, it announced another purchase, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/strategy-100th-bitcoin-purchase-592-btc\">acquiring 592 BTC<\/a> for $39.8 million. The change would lower leverage on the balance sheet by turning bondholders into shareholders, though it could dilute existing investors.<\/p>\n<p><template data-ct-widget=\"buzzsprout\" data-buzzsprout-podcast-id=\"2040516\" data-buzzsprout-episode-id=\"18518100\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Strategy added that its Bitcoin treasury would still cover its liabilities even in an extreme downturn.
