He added that the distinction between the two may fade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a video clip shared in a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/blockworksDAS\/status\/2037153731163177249\">post<\/a> on X by the organizers of the Digital Asset Summit, Herrick said: \u201cI think it is, above all else, striving for interoperability, striving to build on top of what exists. What that does is; it forces you to think of things like regulation. It doesn\u2019t mean that all regulation has to stay exactly as it is, but regulation becomes like a design constraint. Thanks!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NYSE said Tuesday (March 24) that it is teaming with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/securitize.io\/\">Securitize<\/a> to build its <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/blockchain\/2026\/nyse-taps-securitize-to-build-tokenized-securities-platform\/\">tokenized securities<\/a> trading platform. With this partnership, NYSE has named Securitize the first digital transfer agent eligible to mint blockchain-native securities for corporate or ETF issuers on the platform.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The companies said they would work together to create standards for digital transfer agents and tokenization agents taking part in the digital ecosystem. The focus here will be on developing \u201cregulatory, operational and technology requirements\u201d for institutional-grade tokenized securities infrastructure, they said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About two weeks earlier, on March 5, NYSE parent company Intercontinental Exchange (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.com\/index\">ICE<\/a>) announced a strategic relationship and investment in <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ir.theice.com\/press\/news-details\/2026\/ICE-Makes-Investment-in-OKX-Establishing-Strategic-Relationship\/\">blockchain technology<\/a> and trading company <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.okx.com\/en-us\">OKX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"pymnt-3711941476\" class=\"pymnt-content\" style=\"margin-top: 50px;\">\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ICE said in a press release that it will have a board seat on OKX\u2019s board of directors and that it will collaborate with the company to leverage OKX\u2019s blockchain infrastructure and global reach together with ICE\u2019s market technology, regulatory frameworks and institutional community.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In January, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/michael-blaugrund\">Michael Blaugrund<\/a>, vice president of strategic initiatives at ICE, told Bloomberg News that the NYSE is creating a venue for round-the-clock <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/news\/investment-tracker\/2026\/new-york-stock-exchange-developing-24-7-tokenized-trading-platform\/\">tokenized stock trading<\/a>.
