The technology can help the U.S. military reduce the time it takes to identify and strike targets on the battlefield, while aiding in the organization of weapons maintenance and supply lines, according to a report in March from the Brennan Center for Justice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"article-index-3\">\n<p>Friday&#8217;s announcement comes after <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/anthropic-pentagon-ai-dario-amodei-hegseth-0c464a054359b9fdc80cf18b0d4f690c\">concerns raised by a company<\/a> not on the list, Anthropic, whose battle with the Pentagon to put up AI guardrails has <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ai-anthropic-trump-security-risk-f9e693ea9954e6a8ac75750f1089f768\">spilled into court<\/a>. The tech company said it wanted assurances in its contract that the military would not use its technology in fully <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ai-anthropic-pentagon-golden-dome-autonomous-weapons-6f3c45ff46172c1bf8658dea0098f3fe\">autonomous weapons<\/a> and the surveillance of Americans.
