The 175-year-old money-transfer giant Western Union has officially launched a new stablecoin on the Solana (SOL<\/a>) blockchain.<\/p>\n Western Union\u2019s new USDPT coin is fully backed by US dollars and issued by Anchorage Digital.<\/p>\n Devin McGranahan, Western Union\u2019s president and CEO, says<\/a> the stablecoin will integrate into the financial giant\u2019s existing payment systems.<\/p>\n \u201cUSDPT reinforces Western Union\u2019s role as a global payments platform.
