to on\u2011chain investigator Specter, the breach compromised roughly $5.4 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this contract key compromise, a total of four assets were drained, which includes $4.3 million in Tether (USDT), 274 ETH worth $553K, $434K in Circle (USDC), and 14.164 PAYG worth $64K.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_603846\" 400;\">That said, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the attacker went further, laundering part of the stolen assets <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">via ChangNow and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/coins\/binancecoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Binance [BNB]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SpecterAnalyst\/status\/2060613063816941820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">According to Specter<\/a>, the attacker held roughly 2,102 <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/coins\/ethereum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">ETH<\/a> worth $4.23 million, indicating that most of the lost stolen funds were still left with the wrongdoer.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">noted<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Validators should halt their validators and orchestrators while this incident is being investigated.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within hours, the cross-chain protocol further added,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to the swift action of validators, the bridge is currently halted while investigations continue.\u201d The addresses linked to the attack were two Ethereum addresses, \u201c0x7B5820\u2026da1F9\u201d and \u201c0x4d3cc32\u2026C7A47.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Impact on Gravity Bridge TVL and more\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, the attack also caused Gravity Bridge\u2019s TVL to drop from $11.82 million to $6.24 million in a
