A US bank has suffered a security breach that has placed tens of thousands of Americans\u2019 data at risk.<\/p>\n
In a notice of security incident shared with the Office of the California Attorney General, Texas Capital Bank says<\/a> that a data breach exposed the sensitive personal information of its clients.<\/p>\n A separate filing at the Texas Attorney General\u2019s Office shows<\/a>\u00a086,067 people are impacted by the hacking incident. The financial institution has mailed notification letters to the affected individuals.<\/p>\n The bank says that on April 27th it discovered an \u201cisolated security incident\u201d exposed names and social security numbers.<\/p>\n \u201cUpon detection, we immediately enacted out planned protection protocols, and this incident has been resolved. <\/em><\/p>\n We have no evidence that your information was targeted or misused. Our systems continue to operate normally and securely. Our clients\u2019 accounts remain safe.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n The firm is offering impacted clients two years\u2019 worth of credit monitoring and identity theft protection services from Experian IdentityWorks.
