Apple is being accused of overstating and misrepresenting Safari\u2019s privacy features, leading users to believe their browsing data was more protected than it actually was.<\/p>\n
A new proposed class action alleges<\/a> Safari allows third parties to track users through \u201cfingerprinting\u201d despite Apple\u2019s claims that the browser prevents such tracking.<\/p>\n According to the complaint,<\/p>\n \u201cSafari transmits pieces of information about users\u2019 web browsers and devices to every website they visit as they browse the internet.
