{"id":435027,"date":"2026-07-24T23:24:49","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T17:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/new-york-life-investment-management-bets-on-tokenization-crypto-news\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T23:29:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T17:59:16","slug":"new-york-life-investment-management-bets-on-tokenization-crypto-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/new-york-life-investment-management-bets-on-tokenization-crypto-news\/","title":{"rendered":"New York Life Investment Management Bets on Tokenization &#8211; Crypto News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The investment arm of insurer <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorklife.com\/\">New York Life<\/a> is entering the world of tokenized assets, according to a Tuesday (June 30) <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260630051099\/en\/Centrifuge-and-New-York-Life-Investment-Management-Partner-to-Tokenize-U.S.-High-Yield-Corporate-Bond-Strategy\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-paywall-hidden-content\">\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nylim.com\/\">New York Life Investment Management<\/a> (NYLIM) is partnering with tokenization platform <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/centrifuge.io\/\">Centrifuge<\/a> to introduce the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio, its first tokenized investment product, the release said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTokenization represents a compelling evolution in how investment solutions can be accessed, managed and distributed across both public and private markets,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/thomas-g-sy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Sy<\/a>, head of multi-asset solutions for NYLIM, said in the release. \u201cAs investor demand continues to grow around transparency, efficiency and broader market participation, we are exploring opportunities where blockchain-enabled infrastructure can complement our existing platform and deepen the value we deliver to clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/tag\/tokenization\/\">tokenization<\/a> of NYLIM\u2019s high-yield corporate bond strategy represents \u201ca significant step toward expanding access to income-oriented strategies through next-generation infrastructure,\u201d according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>Centrifuge Co-Founder <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/anil-sood\/\">Anil Sood<\/a> said in the release that the partnership is about \u201cmoving funds onto infrastructure that is more transparent, more efficient and more composable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The last year has seen the tokenized asset market surge. Data from <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/rwa.xyz\">RWA.xyz<\/a> showed that the value of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/blockchain\/2026\/tokenized-real-world-asset-value-jumps-fourfold-to-26-billion\/\">tokenized<\/a> real-world assets surpassed $26.4 billion in on-chain value (stablecoins excluded) as of March, up from around $6.6 billion during the same point in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, many of the biggest developments in <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pymnts.com\/cryptocurrency\/2026\/crypto-stopped-fighting-banks-and-started-copying-them\/\">blockchain finance<\/a> have shifted from the edges of the financial system to its center.<\/p>\n<p>Banks, regulators, exchanges, asset managers and payments providers are no longer looking at blockchain as a parallel financial system, but as a faster, more efficient method of packaging, distributing and settling their products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, crypto-native firms are targeting many of the same commercial and customer outcomes,\u201d PYMNTS reported this month, pointing to announcements from companies such as <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.com\/index\">Intercontinental Exchange<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.franklintempleton.com\/\">Franklin Templeton<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moneygram.com\/us\/en\">MoneyGram<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.moonpay.com\/\">MoonPay<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.anchorage.com\/\">Anchorage Digital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe shift raises larger questions for regulators as well,\u201d the report added. \u201cIf a money market fund, a payment account or a custody service can be delivered through blockchain infrastructure, what exactly should be regulated: the institution, the product, the technology, or all three?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The investment arm of insurer New York Life is entering the world of tokenized assets, according to a Tuesday (June 30) press release.
