Xiaomi is set to unveil the highly-anticipated Xiaomi 14 series, marking a significant leap in their premium smartphone offerings. The launch event is scheduled for October 26, 2023 in China, and fans are eager to get their hands on the next generation of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones. This launch is expected to introduce two stellar devices, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, promising substantial enhancements over their predecessors. 

As per a Weibo post by Xiaomi, the phone’s design will feature flat edges, showcasing a 6.36-inch flat display on the front. The smartphone is anticipated to be impressively slim, measuring just 1.71mm in thickness, with side bezels ranging between 1.61-1.63mm.

Reportedly, the standard Xiaomi 14 model is expected to feature a 1/1.31-inch 50MP primary sensor with 1.2um pixel size and an impressive f/1.6 aperture, sporting a Leica Summilux-branded lens. According to an Android Police report, these new lenses represent an upgrade from the Summicron lenses found in the Xiaomi 12 and 13, promising enhanced image quality compared to its predecessors. Complementing the primary lens, there will be a 14mm (0.6x) ultrawide lens and a 3.2x f/2.2 telephoto sensor.

Regarding the Xiaomi 14 Pro‘s camera, there are rumors suggesting it will come equipped with a Sony IMX989 sensor and an enhanced telephoto lens.

A report from MySmartPrice indicates that the Xiaomi 14 is anticipated to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Gen 3 processor paired with 16GB of RAM. Both smartphones are expected to run the new HyperOS. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 is rumored to house a 5000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

Further details about the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, as well as the unveiling of Xiaomi’s new operating system, HyperOS, are eagerly awaited and will be disclosed during the scheduled launch event on October 26, 2023.
