5ire, an EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain ecosystem, that focuses on positive impact and sustainability using distributed ledger technology, launched the private version of its Testnet: Thunder (Alpha) on November 30, 2022. Building on the Alpha’s success, the team is thrilled to launch Testnet: Thunder ,beta) on February 13, 2023, which is going to be open for public use. This launch marks a significant milestone in the development of 5ire and opens the doors for developers, partners, and community members to test, build, and refine their applications on 5ireChain.

About the Testnet

The ultimate objective of 5ire Testnet Beta is to gather user feedback in order to improve the 5ireChain Ecosystem.

5ire’s Beta Testnet is built with a unique consensus protocol, Sustainable Proof of Stake (SPoS), which ensures that ESG compliance rewards the nodes for being there for the benefits of society as a whole. This ensures that the platform remains secure, decentralized, and environment-friendly simultaneously.

Testnet: Thunder is also fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) and bring their existing Ethereum-based dApps to 5ire.
