Bitcoin challenges all-time high but gets rejected at US$64,000 – Crypto News
Bitcoin, the world’s leading cryptocurrency, has seen its price skyrocket to nearly US$64,000 on Wednesday, before retracing to the US$60,000 range.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency traded for as high as US$63,636, according to CoinGecko data.
Bitcoin hasn’t seen this price range since November 2021, when it scaled down from its all-time high of over US$69,000.
Ethereum, the world’s second-largest crypto by market capitalization, is also up more than 40% in the last month.
Along with other major cryptocurrencies, Ether followed Bitcoin’s bull run on Wednesday.
Its price was unable to reach US$3,500, as it started to trace down after hitting US$3,492.
Ether traded at US$3,317 at the time of writing.
The total cryptocurrency market cap stood at over US$2.35 trillion.
