At a recent event in China hosted by BOE, OnePlus revealed essential information about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12. The company showcased several OnePlus 12 models, emphasizing the device’s display capabilities, while keeping the design under wraps. Key details were confirmed regarding the phone’s display and chipset.

As per a report by India TV, when presented with a protective case, the smartphone featured a sizable square-shaped camera bump on its rear surface. It also includes an alert slider on the right side and boasts slim bezels framing the display. As for the physical buttons, the volume and power controls are situated on the opposite side.

Reportedly, OnePlus emphasized that the OnePlus 12 will come equipped with an ‘Oriental Screen,’ featuring OPPO’s inaugural display chip, known as Display P1. Additionally, the smartphone incorporates a precise pixel-level calibration algorithm to improve image quality, raise brightness levels, and reduce power consumption.

The device has been granted the DisplayMate A+ certification and boasts a 2K resolution, although the specific screen size remains undisclosed. From the images available, it hints at the possibility of retaining the 6.7-inch LTPO screen found in the OnePlus 11, adds the report.

Moreover, the screen of the OnePlus 12 offers a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, surpassing the brightness levels of recent flagship phones available in India. Furthermore, the OnePlus 12 is set to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, confirming earlier leaks and rumors. Despite these revelations, OnePlus has not yet revealed the complete specifications or an official release date for their forthcoming flagship smartphone, adds the report.

To recall, OnePlus recently introduced its maiden foldable smartphone – OnePlus Open. It was launched at an event titled ‘Open for Everything’. In India, the OnePlus Open can be bought for ₹139,999. Its open sale will begin from October 27. The foldable smartphone comes in two colours — Vulture Black and Emerald Dust.
