PM Modi joins WhatsApp Channels: What is it and how to join – Crypto News
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday joined WhatsApp Channels, a feature offered by messaging application WhatsApp. The news was shared by news agency ANI which shared the screenshot of PM Modi’s WhatsApp Channel. The feature allows users to start a one-way broadcasting channel and connect with a large number of subscribers at once.
PM Modi has been very active on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter) and his joining WhatsApp Channels indicates that BJP will use all the available platforms to remain connected with people ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year. The development comes on the day the proceedings of Parliament shifted to the new Parliament building.
What Are WhatsApp Channels?
WhatsApp Channels are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. Channels can be found in a new tab called Updates on WhatsApp – where you’ll find the Status and channels you choose to follow – separate from your chats with family, friends, and communities.
Enhanced Directory: where you can find channels to follow that are automatically filtered based on your country. You can also view channels that are new, most active, and popular based on the number of followers.
Reactions: you can react using emojis to give feedback and see a count of total reactions. How you react will not be shown to followers.
Forwarding: whenever you forward an Update to chats or groups it will include a link back to the channel so people can find out more.
How to join PM Modi’s WhatsApp channel?
1. Open WhatsApp on your Android or iOS phone and go to the Updates tab.
2. Click on the Find Channel option and search for “Narendra Modi”
3. You will see PM Modi’s channel which is available to follow.
