Wafuu to accept payments in crypto for its Japanese goods – Crypto News

Japanese internet marketing service QRESTIA has announced that its cross-border e-commerce site, wafuu.com, will accept cryptocurrency payments worldwide. Customers can purchase Japanese goods and products more securely using any of 16 cryptocurrencies, supported by 83 wallet types and 22 exchanges.

Some of the more common cryptocurrencies accepted include BTC, USDT, ETH, TON, USDC, SOL, APE, BNB, POL, TRX, SAND, DAI, AXS, TUSD, MKR, and UNI. Customers can use exchanges and wallets not currently supported by the platform, although the user experience is less smooth.

The launch of cryptocurrency payments should enhance the shopping experience for wafuu.com customers from around 70 countries, in a faster, more reliable purchasing process. Multilingual support is available in 21 languages, making it easier for global customers from outside Japan to shop securely and with confidence.

The president and CEO of Wafúú’s parent company QRESTIA, Hidemasa Fukada, said of the cryptocurrency launch, “Adopting cryptocurrency payments marks a significant step for wafuu.com in delivering Japan’s high-quality products to people around the globe. We will continue to provide a safe and convenient environment for cryptocurrency holders and serve as a bridge connecting Japan and international markets.”

Wafúú plans to introduce further localised payment options and schemes in other countries around the world, and build partnerships with overseas collaborators.

According to QRESTIA Inc, the move to accepting cryptocurrencies is to break down the “barriers of distance, language, and currency, to provide a truly border-less experience.” The use of cryptocurrencies in addition to fiat currencies should strengthen cross-border e-commerce to the site and streamline international transactions for the seller and customers.

Wafúú, roughly translated, means ‘Japanese style,’ and the company’s hook-line is “Bringing the best of Japan to the world.” It offers a range of goods produced in or for Japan, including electronics, foods, clothing, toys, and lifestyle accessories.
