Apple WWDC took its attendees by surprise as the company unveiled an impressive new addition to its product lineup: a powerful Mac Pro workstation powered by Apple Silicon. This announcement marked the final step in Apple’s transition away from Intel processors.

The newly introduced workstation is described as an absolute powerhouse, demonstrating Apple’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology to its users.

In terms of specifications, the mac pro Showcases an impressive array of connectivity options, including eight Thunderbolt ports and six PCI slots, allowing for flexible and modular expansion. The starting price for the base model of the Mac Pro is set at $6999.

Furthermore, the mac pro equipped with the advanced M2 Ultra processor boasts a powerful 24-core CPU, a remarkable GPU with up to 76 cores, and a substantial 192 GB RAM capacity. In addition to these specifications, it offers convenient dual HDMI ports, dual 10-gigabit Ethernet connectivity, and a robust 32-core Neural Engine specifically designed for machine learning tasks.

Additionally, the Mac Pro is equipped with the most up-to-date wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, ensuring seamless connectivity.

The new Mac Pro is now available for order, with shipping scheduled to begin in the following week. With the introduction of M2 Ultra Mac ProApple successfully concludes its transition to Apple Silicon, marking a significant milestone in their technological evolution.

In India, the Mac Pro is available in two options: tower enclosure and rack-mounted enclosure. The rack-mounted Mac Pro has a starting price of 7,29,900, while the education pricing begins at 6,87,900. On the other hand, the tower enclosure of Mac Pro starts at 7,79,900, with the education pricing starting from 7,27,900.

Meanwhile, during its annual software developer conference, Apple Inc also revealed a new product category, an augmented-reality headset called the Apple Vision Pro. This marks Apple’s significant venture into a new product category for the first time since the introduction of the Apple Watch nearly a decade ago. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, referred to it as “spatial computing,” where the device is operated using your eyes, hands, and voice.
